Government of Canada and Province of New Brunswick supports lobster research and oyster aquaculture

Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Province of New Brunswick are pleased to announce funding of more than 8.1 million through the Atlantic Fisheries Fund.

The 21 innovative projects enhance the viability and sustainability of the seafood sector in New Brunswick

Creation of a marine laboratory in the new Homarus Centre. The new Centre will include a wet and dry laboratory and storage to research the impacts of specific Northumberland Strait environmental and ecological conditions on lobster.
