Step 1: What you need before you start
Before you register, make sure that you have all relevant information about your arrangement:
- personal information about the individuals who entered into the arrangement and everyone who conducts influence activities
- name, date of birth and place of birth of everyone
- for entities, other identifiable information, such as
- incorporation number, business number, charity number, and website
- contact information for the individuals or entities that entered into the arrangement
- civic and mailing addresses, telephone number, email address
- information about the foreign principal, including their name, primary civic address, website, and information about the primary representative
- details of the arrangement
- start and end dates
- the political or governmental processes which are being influenced
- the actual or expected influence activities, including communicating with or disseminating information to the public
- any compensation or benefit provided
Information submitted to the registry will be published once it has been reviewed and validated. Personal identifiers, such as date of birth or place of birth, address, phone number, and email address are kept private and will not be published on the registry.
Step 2: Registration form
The registration form will be available as of August 4, 2026.
Step 3: After you register
Public Registry
After you register or update your information, the Office will review and validate to ensure that it meets the requirements specified in regulations. Once reviewed, most of it becomes part of the public registry. However, some information is kept private and will not be published.
Update your information
If any of the information in your submission changes, you are required to update your entry in the registry no later than 14 calendar days after the change(s) occurred.
