Global Affairs Canada participates in Doors Open Ottawa

June 2, 2016 - Global Affairs Canada is pleased to once again take part in Doors Open Ottawa on Saturday, June 4, 2016. The public is invited to the Lester B. Pearson Building to learn more about some of the key services our department offers to the public. Visit exhibits about our missions and embassies abroad, our library, Canada’s international treaties, and come learn more about the Lester B. Pearson Building itself:
- Get an inside look at Global Affairs Canada’s 24/7 Emergency Watch and Response Centre. English and French tours will be conducted throughout the day.
- Take part in our Human Library. Come and get the chance to have a one-on-one conversation with a Global Affairs Canada subject matter expert, including a domestic outreach manager, a departmental architect, a historian, an international development officer or a management consular officer. Please sign up online.
- Children will want to visit our Kids Zone, where they can create their very own Lego embassy!
Doors Open Ottawa is the National Capital Region’s largest heritage event, unlocking more than 130 of the city’s most architecturally interesting and historically significant buildings. Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Doors Open Ottawa continues to be the second-largest Doors Open architectural event in North America.
