Canada appalled by attack in Quetta, Pakistan

The Honourable Stéphane Dion, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today released the following statement regarding reports of a bomb attack on a hospital in Quetta, Pakistan:
“Canada strongly condemns the attack in Quetta, Pakistan. We offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed and wish a quick recovery to those injured.
“Canada is appalled by this act of violence against civilians on the grounds of a hospital. We stand with the people of Pakistan and are committed to working tirelessly in the fight against terrorism.”
