Canada supports all efforts toward peace in Colombia

The Honourable Stéphane Dion, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today issued the following statement on the latest developments in Colombia:
"When I was in Cartagena last week, I underscored Canada’s commitment to Colombia. Today, I reconfirm that Canada will continue to provide its steadfast support to Colombia as the country strives to build an inclusive society focused on sustainable peace, development and prosperity.
"Canada encourages continued dialogue among all parties to achieve a long-lasting peace for all Colombians."
