Minister Dion welcomes Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade

The Honourable Stéphane Dion, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today met with Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in Ottawa.

Minister Szijjártó is in Ottawa to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Hungary’s 1956 revolution, after which Canada resettled 38,000 Hungarian refugees.

The two ministers discussed Canada and Hungary’s shared history and strong people-to-people ties, prosperity, inclusion and international security.
