Statement by Minister Dion on attack on Pakistani police training college

The Honourable Stéphane Dion, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today issued the following statement:

“Canada strongly condemns yesterday’s terrorist attack on a police training college in Quetta, Pakistan, which resulted in a tragic loss of life.

“I offer my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed and wish a quick recovery for those injured in this attack.

“Violent extremism in all forms must be stopped and those responsible brought to justice.

“Canada will continue to work with its partners in Pakistan and elsewhere to combat terrorism and build a safer international community.”
