Canadian delegation to visit Washington, D.C.

The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs; the Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of National Defence; the Honourable Jim Carr, Minister of Natural Resources; and Andrew Leslie, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that they will be in Washington, D.C., on January 20, 2017, to attend events at the Embassy of Canada and around Washington to mark the inauguration of the 45th president of the United States.
Canada’s relationship with the United States is based on integrated economies, close security cooperation and a commitment to grow the middle class. Globally, it is one of the closest and most positive relationships between any two countries and this is an important occasion on which to build ties and reaffirm these shared interests.
