Foreign Affairs Minister to promote peace and conflict resolution at Oslo Forum

Canada is determined to promoting peace and stability on the world stage.
The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that she will participate in the Oslo Forum, in Oslo, Norway, on June 14, 2017.
The forum brings together conflict mediators, high-level decision makers and key peace process actors from around the world to engage in frank and open discussions about high-priority peace operations and conflict resolution. This year’s forum theme is “Peacemaking in a new era of geopolitics.”
At the forum, the Minister will participate in a panel entitled “The UN, great power politics and peacemaking ” and will attend high-level panels addressing mediation and regional crises.
While in Oslo, the Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with several of her counterparts.
