“The Government of Canada is working closely with federal partners, the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees, and Korean authorities to ensure the safety and security of all athletes, their families and Canadian spectators in PyeongChang.

“Currently, we advise Canadians travelling to South Korea to exercise normal security precautions. However, they should monitor developments, remain vigilant and follow the instructions of local authorities.

“Travel Advice and Advisories are continuously reviewed and updated to ensure Canadians constantly have the best advice possible.

“We strongly recommend that Canadians register with the Registration of Canadians Abroad service to receive latest updates. Canadians may also download the free Travel Smart app, to receive updated travel advice on the go.
