Minister Bibeau and Canadian organizations to celebrate 2019 International Development Week

February 1, 2019 - Across Canada and around the world, Global Affairs Canada, along with individuals and partner organizations, will mark International Development Week by celebrating the hard work of international development workers, volunteers and partners who are finding new ways to empower women and girls, and build a more peaceful, inclusive and prosperous world.

Media representatives are invited to join us for a reception co-hosted by the Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development, and partners from the international development community. Moderated by Chloe Wilde, this event will be an opportunity to meet with Minister Bibeau and representatives of partner organizations, to partake in an interactive program and to see performances that highlight how Canada empowers women and girls and reduces poverty around the world.
