May 22, 2019 – The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will visit Saguenay, in Québec, on May 23, 2019 to meet with aluminum workers, unions and business leaders to discuss the elimination of tariffs on steel and aluminum and the new NAFTA.

Event: Site visit at Rio Tinto Aluminum Operational Center
Time: 11:45 a.m. ET
Notes: Closed to Media

Event: Meet and greet with Rio Tinto workers and unions leaders, followed by a media availability.
Time: Media availability at 1:15 p.m. ET
Location: 1955 Boulevard Mellon, Jonquière, QC
Notes: Media representatives wishing to participate in the media availability should arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. ET and register in advance with Claudine Gagnon (claudine.gagnon@riotinto.com). Please note that long sleeves, long pants and solid-soled, close-toed shoes are required.
