Minister of International Trade Diversification to highlight Canada’s investments in British Columbia businesses and communities

May 8, 2019 - The Honourable Jim Carr, Minister of International Trade Diversification, will highlight how the Government of Canada is helping BC businesses expand their markets and increase exports, while also assisting BC communities attract foreign direct investment, in Vancouver and Surrey, British Columbia.

Minister Carr will meet recipients of the CanExport — Community Investments (CECI) funding and the CanExport Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) funding. He will also give a keynote address at the Surrey Board of Trade’s International Trade Awards ceremony.

This visit in British Columbia will be an opportunity for Minister Carr to showcase how Canada’s trade diversification strategy - New markets, New customers, New jobs - will benefit Canadian businesses.
