Minister Carr in Toronto to highlight opportunities around the world for Canadian businesses

June 24, 2019 – The Honourable Jim Carr, Minister of International Trade Diversification, will meet with local business representatives from the Indian and Israeli business communities in Toronto, Ontario.

The Minister will join the Canada-India Business Council to highlight how Canada’s trade diversification strategy is helping Canadian businesses access international markets and attract international investment, strengthening Canada’s economy and creating good quality, middle-class jobs.

Minister Carr will also join Galit Baram, Israel’s Consul General in Toronto, in partnership with the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, to celebrate the new modernized Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement (CIFTA).  Galit Baram will join Minister Carr in a panel discussion to highlight the benefits of CIFTA.
