Minister Garneau speaks with Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Today, the Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Foreign Affairs, spoke with Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, National Security, Legal Affairs and Information of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Minister Garneau expressed Canada’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, as they continue to face the evolving dangers of the La Soufrière volcano eruption.

On the call, Prime Minister Gonsalves provided an update on Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and CARICOM response efforts, and Minister Garneau underscored that Canada stands ready to assist in response and recovery efforts.
