CUSMA trade ministers to meet in Mexico City

Media advisory

July 1, 2021 - To commemorate the first anniversary of the entry into force of the Canada-United-States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade; Katherine Tai, United States Trade Representative; and Tatiana Clouthier Carrillo, Mexico’s Secretary of Economy, will meet in Mexico City on July 7, 2021. The ministers will exchange views on the achievements reached during the Agreement's first year and discuss opportunities to ensure the long-term growth and competitiveness of the region.

This meeting will be an opportunity to continue the productive dialogue established during the first Free Trade Commission meeting, held in May 2021, and shows how Canada, the United States and Mexico are working together as friends, neighbours, and allies to build a more competitive, inclusive, and resilient North American economic partnership.
