Closing event for 50th anniversary of Canada-Germany science and technology cooperation agreement

June 7, 2022 - Global Affairs Canada will co-host the June 9 closing event of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the agreement between Canada and Germany on science, technology cooperation along with representatives of the National Research Council of Canada and distinguished guests from Germany.

Event: The event will feature the Gerhard Herzberg Exhibit and will be divided into 2 main components:

  1. Official closing event - 11 am to 12 pm ET / 5 pm to 6 pm UCT+2
    Attendance will be in person and virtual.
  2. Exhibit and reception - 12 to 1 pm ET / 6 pm to 7 pm. UCT+2
    Attendance will be in person only.

Notes for media representatives:

  • Media representative can attend the event either in person or virtually.
  • Media representatives who want to attend in person must use the security entrance at the rear of the building on King Edward Avenue. Arrive no later than 10:45 am ET. Please confirm attendance in advance with Global Affairs Canada media relations.
  • COVID-19 protocols will be in effect: attendees will be asked to show proof of vaccination and wear masks during the whole event.
  • Visitor parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
