Minister Joly to hold press conference with her German counterpart in Montreal

August 2, 2022 - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs will hold a press conference with her counterpart from Germany, Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, on August 3, in Montreal. This media availability will take place during the German Federal Foreign Minister’s visit to Canada. The ministers will discuss the special role of Canada and Germany, as close partners in the vital transatlantic alliance, in confronting the growing geopolitical instability. Key issues will include supporting Ukraine and defending global and regional peace and security, and dealing with the implications of Russia’s unjustifiable war of aggression, including energy and food security crises.
