Minister Ng to strengthen Canada-Philippines ties with upcoming visit

The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, will visit the Philippines on September 19 and 20, 2022.

In this, the first trip to the Philippines by a Canadian Cabinet minister since 2018, Minister Ng will meet with government and business leaders to advance trade and investment between Canada and the Philippines.

The Minister will also exchange views with Philippines representatives on Canada’s efforts to continue the progress toward strengthening its partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region, including through a Canada-Association of Southeast Asian Nations free trade agreement.
