Minister Joly to co-host Global Survivors Fund event on Conflict-Related Sexual Violence during 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City

September 21, 2022 – In collaboration with the Global Survivors Fund, The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will co-host an event on conflict-related sexual violence on September 22, in New York City. Minister Joly will be joined by Nadia Murad to open the event and discuss the importance of centering survivors in the pursuit of justice, including reparations.

This is a photo opportunity only. There will not be a question and answer session. The event will begin with a discussion between Minister Joly and Ms. Murad. Media are invited to attend the entire event.

Please register by sending the name of reporter and camera operator to Sarah Simoneau by 6 PM ET, on September 21, 2022.
