Announcement regarding the appointment of the Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism

October 13, 2023 – The Honourable Ya’ara Saks, Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health, the Honourable Kamal Khera, Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Persons with Disabilities, and Pam Damoff, Parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Consular Affairs), will make an announcement regarding the appointment of the Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism on October 16, in Ottawa.

They will be accompanied by the Honourable Irwin Cotler, Canada’s first Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism.

The announcement will be followed by a question-and-answer session. The opening remarks and the question-and-answer session will be open to media.

Time: 9:30 a.m. ET
