Minister Sidhu advances Canada-India comprehensive economic partnership agreement discussions during visit to India

Yesterday, the Honourable Maninder Sidhu, Minister of International Trade, met with Piyush Goyal, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, to enhance Canada-India trade ties.

Building on the momentum generated by Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to India, the ministers underscored the importance of sustained bilateral engagement and regular dialogue to deepen Canada-India trade and investment, including toward a comprehensive economic partnership agreement.

Minister Sidhu looks forward to welcoming Minister Goyal and an investment and trade delegation to Canada this spring to expand commercial opportunities and deepen economic collaboration between the two countries.
