Biographical note - Amanda Strohan

Amanda Strohan (BAdmin, University of Regina, 2001) joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 2001. Overseas, she served as second secretary and vice-consul in Moscow (2002 to 2004), counsellor and consul general in Beirut (2004 to 2008), counsellor and consul in Rabat (2008 to 2011), counsellor and consul in Brussels (2013 to 2018) and minister-counsellor (2018 to 2021) and deputy high commissioner in New Delhi with concurrent accreditation to Nepal and Bhutan (2021 to 2023). She was director of operations for the Regional Service Centre for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (2011 to 2013), director general for Indo-Pacific Strategic Policy, Planning and Operations (2023 to 2024) and, most recently, director general of Client Relations and Mission Operations (2024 to 2026).
