Overview

As of November 1, 2018, the Regulations for the Monitoring of Medical Assistance in Dying (the Regulations) require physicians, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists to provide information related to requests for, and the provision of, medical assistance in dying (MAID).

This document is an administrative document that is intended to facilitate reporting and is not intended to provide legal advice regarding the interpretation of the Code or Regulations. In the event of any inconsistency or conflict between the Code or the Regulations and this document, the Code or the Regulations take precedence. If a regulated party has questions about their legal obligations or responsibilities under the Code or the Regulations, they should seek the advice of legal counsel.
