Backgrounder: Seventeen Infrastructure Projects in Yukon Get Joint Government Funding

Backgrounder

The governments of Canada and Yukon are announcing funding for infrastructure improvement projects in communities across the territory under the Small Communities Fund. The Government of Canada will provide up to $58,596,772 through the Small Communities Fund for the 17 projects and the Government of Yukon will cover any remaining costs.

The Small Communities Fund provides support for priority public infrastructure projects that address local priorities while contributing to national or regional objectives, and support economic growth, a clean environment and stronger communities.
