Infrastructure work in the municipality of Saint-Justin

Transfer of a portion of the federal Gas Tax Fund and a contribution from the Government of Quebec

Saint-Justin, September 16, 2016

The Honourable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, and Marc H. Plante, Member of the National Assembly for Maskinongé and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Sustainable Development, the Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change, on behalf of Martin Coiteux, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Minister of Public Safety and Minister responsible for the Montréal region, have announced infrastructure work in the Municipality of Saint Justin.

The following work has been financed by the federal Gas Tax Fund and a contribution from the Government of Quebec:

  • replacement of a culvert on Plante Rd.;
  • creation of a response plan for the renewal of water mains, sewers and roads;
  • relocation of a water main on Duchesnay Rd.

The total estimated cost of this work is $202,343, which will be funded by the federal Gas Tax Fund and a contribution from the Government of Quebec.

Government representatives also noted the total contribution of $661,545 granted to the Municipality of Saint-Justin for infrastructure projects, funded through the federal Gas Tax Fund and a contribution from the Government of Quebec. This amount is broken down as follows:

  • Federal government share: $468,374
  • Quebec government share: $193,171
