Ontario scholars host research pop-up on Parliament Hill
Media Advisory
Ottawa, May 16, 2017—Canadian scientists and scholars work hard to make the discoveries and innovations that drive economic growth and support a growing middle class. Their work also provides the evidence needed to make sound policy decisions about our climate, environment, health and prosperity.
On Wednesday, Parliamentary Secretary for Science Kate Young, on behalf of the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will speak at the Research Matters Pop-Up Research Park on Parliament Hill. The pop-up will feature more than a dozen researchers from universities across Ontario who will showcase their work to parliamentarians and the public.
Research Matters is a Council of Ontario Universities’ campaign publicizing and promoting the research conducted and discoveries made at universities across Ontario.
