Minister Bibeau to announce funding for researchers to pursue science without boundaries

September 13, 2017—Sherbrooke, Quebec—The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie, on behalf of the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will announce major funding for research in the fields of health sciences, natural sciences, engineering and social sciences.
The funds include grants to established and early-career researchers as well as scholarships to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows across Canada. The investment will provide researchers with the foundation they need to push the boundaries of discovery and innovation while strengthening a culture of curiosity and diversity in Canadian science.
Media are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in at the reception desk.
