Minister Chagger to make announcements in Victoria

Victoria, British Columbia, January 19, 2018—As part of a three-day trip to British Columbia, the Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government of the House of Commons and Minister of Small Business and Tourism, will travel to Victoria on Monday, January 22. While there, she will deliver a keynote address on sustainable tourism and attend meetings with stakeholders.

The Minister will also make two Government of Canada announcements.

8:30 a.m. – Minister Chagger will deliver a keynote opening address at the IMPACT Sustainability Travel and Tourism Conference. As part of her remarks, the Minister will also make an important announcement in support of British Columbia’s Indigenous tourism sector.

2:15 p.m. – Minister Chagger will make an announcement at the Alacrity Foundation of British Columbia, a not-for-profit organization that works to promote technological entrepreneurship and facilitate regionalized investment opportunities.
