Minister Joly to speak on the economic potential of tourism and how it creates jobs for middle-class families in Jonquière

Jonquière, Quebec, January 23, 2019—The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Tourism, Official Languages and La Francophonie, will visit tourism exhibits and engage with regional tourism and travel industry experts. The Minister will also deliver remarks on the economic potential of tourism in Canada, including in Jonquière, and highlight how this sector creates good jobs to support middle-class families. In addition, she will talk about Canada’s upcoming federal tourism strategy.
Richard Hébert, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, will also be in attendance.
The Minister will be available to answer questions from the media after delivering her remarks.
