Governance: The governance of IPAI will rely on participating countries that commit to consider and advance the observations and conclusions of IPAI. IPAI will include a Steering Committee, Working Groups and an independent Secretariat. It will convene an annual conference, called the "Multistakeholder Experts Group Plenary".
Annual High-Level Meeting: High-level meeting to provide strategic direction to IPAI
Steering Committee: Together with participating countries, oversees the functioning of IPAI. Meets 2-3 times per year and includes representatives of states, industry, the scientific community, and civil society.
Independent Secretariat: Provides administrative assistance to IPAI. Point of contact for participants. Oversees relationships with multilateral partners
Multistakeholder Experts Group Plenary: Implements the work plan of IPAI, providing specific international AI expertise. Meets once a year to produce report. Participation will be both multistakeholder and multidisciplinary.

Shared Values: IPAI will be guided by the IPAI Declaration, which states the shared values that participants should uphold.
Deliverables: IPAI will showcase key achievements in AI, and will adopt reports on AI developments and specific AI-related issues such as:
- Data and Privacy
- Trust in AI
- Use and Adoption of AI
- Future of work
- Governance, Law and Justice
- AI and Human Rights
