Engineers and health scientists come together to build the medical innovations of the future

Ottawa, Ontario – June 11, 2018 – The Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, on behalf of Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities, and Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Health, will announce new support for 30 cutting-edge research projects that will improve health care and medical technology for Canadians.

The announcement will be followed by a media availability with the Minister. Researchers and patients will also be available to speak to the media.

Media are then welcome to join a lab tour and view a demonstration in the Institute’s cardiac tissue engineering lab.
