In an emergency, knowing what to do can save lives. Follow these steps to stay safe at Central Canada Regional Services Centre (CCRSC), located at 1700 Inkster Boulevard, Winnipeg.

Shelter in place

Shelter in place is used when there is a threat outside a building. Perimeter doors are locked, and occupants should move away from exterior doors and windows.

When advised that shelter in place is in effect:

Do not evacuate or move throughout the building unless specifically instructed to do so.

Lockdown

A lockdown is used when there is an immediate threat to safety inside the building, such as an active shooter or a dangerous individual.

When notified of a lockdown:

Always follow the instructions of the LAC employee and/or local emergency authority.

If you need help

If you think you will need help during an emergency, inform a LAC staff member upon your arrival every time you enter the building.
