JAC GAUTREAU NAMED OCEAN SCHOOL EXECUTIVE PRODUCER FOR NINE-MONTH PERIOD, FROM DECEMBER 1, 2017, TO SEPTEMBER 2018. Moncton studio interim producer to be named shortly.

News Release

November 15, 2017 – Moncton – National Film Board of Canada (NFB)

News out of the NFB’s Canadian Francophonie Studio – Acadie in Moncton : producer Jac Gautreau has been named executive producer of Ocean School for a period of nine months, starting December 1. The studio’s executive producer, Dominic Desjardins, will soon be announcing the appointment of a studio interim producer for this period. Jac Gautreau will return to his usual position in September 2018.

“This announcement is great news for Ocean School, which will now have an executive producer dedicated specifically to developing the project. On the other hand, it is vital for us to maintain operations at Studio Acadie during this transitional period, which is why we will be hiring a dedicated producer for the studio in the coming days, even if the position is only for nine months. The studio team and I will work to ensure that this temporary change takes place as smoothly as possible, and Jac will continue to work in the studio offices. I will be personally monitoring all projects and will work closely with the interim producer, who will be named shortly.” – Dominic Desjardins, Executive Producer, Canadian Francophonie Studio

Ocean School is an innovative, interactive educational project produced by the NFB in partnership with Dalhousie University
 and the Francophonie Studio.
