2025 Annual Report of the National Security and Intelligence Commitee of Parliamentarians Tabled in Parliament
OTTAWA, June 9, 2026 — The 2025 Annual Report of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians (NSICOP) was tabled in Parliament yesterday.
The report was submitted consistent with subsection 21(1) of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians Act. It provides an overview of the Committee’s work over the past year. It also presents a summary of the Committee’s 2025 activities.
The report was delivered to the Prime Minister on March 30, 2025

Background
NSICOP was established under the NSICOP Act on June 22, 2017. It may review:
- the legislative, regulatory, policy, administrative and financial framework for national security and intelligence;
- any activity carried out by a department that relates to national security or intelligence;
- any matter relating to national security or intelligence that a minister of the Crown refers to the Committee.
NSICOP members hold the highest level of security clearance, are bound by the Foreign Interference and Security of Information Act and meet in private.
