What is the Marine Careers Expo? 

The Marine Careers Expo is an opportunity for Government of Canada organizations and other marine industry affiliated employers and institutions to connect with communities along the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway and in British Columbia to showcase what they have to offer Canada and educate them about career opportunities. 

What organizations will be there? 

The Marine Careers Expo is being hosted by the Royal Canadian Navy and will be attended by other Government of Canada organizations, private sector employers and marine training institutions. 

Will all the organizations be at each stop? 

Not every organization will attend each event. To see which organizations will be in your city, please visit our schedule. 

Where is the Expo visiting?

When is it happening? 

The Expo will begin in September and end in late October. For a complete list of dates, please refer to our schedule. 

Why should I go? 

It’s an opportunity to learn about marine industry career opportunities and meet people from many different walks of life.

Does it cost money? 

No, this is a public and free event where all are welcome to come learn and have some fun. 

Will there be any activities during the expo? 

Yes, there will be many activities at each port. To see what events are happening at the port nearest you, please check the port schedule. We hope to see you! 

Will there be access to the Expo for those with a disability or wheelchair? 

The jetty areas where the Careers Expo kiosks will be set up will be wheelchair accessible. However, some of the interactive portions of the expo such as ship tours may not be accessible to all.
