Publications
The RCN and partners develop and distribute a number of publications to keep sailors, their families and Canadians informed about their Navy. This is keeping in a tradition that was established during the Second World War in 1942, with the introduction of the first RCN publication for sailors titled The Crowsnest.
Our Navy Today
Our Navy Today is a monthly newsletter highlighting your RCN’s current operations, stories about our sailors and historic naval heroes, new equipment and technology and the top photos and videos.
The Trident
The Trident Military Newspaper is a monthly online publication published in Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Halifax and has been the newspaper of Maritime Forces Atlantic since 1966. It includes news and feature stories, links to other military publications, items of interest and organizations for veterans, as well as a career section and a section devoted to Honour the Fallen. Additional sections are dedicated to happenings in and around CFB Halifax.
The Lookout
The Lookout Navy News is a monthly online newspaper that can trace its history back to 1943 when CFB Esquimalt’s first newspaper, The Gangway, began publication. It includes news and feature stories as well as stories about military history. Additional sections are dedicated to the happenings in and around CFB Esquimalt.
