The Listuguj Mi'gmaq community in the Gaspé will carry out its food, social and ceremonial lobster fishing in Chaleur Bay between September 14 and October 5, 2014. This fishery, protected under section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982, which recognizes and confirms the ancestral and treaty rights of the aboriginal peoples of Canada, is authorized under an agreement between the Mi'gmaq community and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO).
