On behalf of the Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, the Honourable Ted Menzies, Minister of State (Finance) and Member of Parliament for Macleod, today announced a contribution of up to $3,634 toward the dedication ceremony of the new Legacy Memorial Gardens in honour of military Veterans, serving military and 9-1-1 personnel.
The Honourable Steven Blaney, Minister of Veterans Affairs, and Guy Lauzon, Member of Parliament for Stormont–Dundas–South Glengarry, will attend a rededication ceremony for the newly restored Battle of Hill 70 Memorial located in Mountain Memorial Park. This monument commemorates those who lost their lives fighting in the Battle of Hill 70 during the First World War. Minister Blaney will speak at the rededication ceremony, lay a wreath and attend the reception.
