Ottawa, Ontario, September 28, 2012 – The Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety, commended the officers of the RCMP and the CBSA from the Immigration Task Force in Toronto, on the arrest yesterday of Patrick Octaves De Florimonte. He also added his support for the addition of new names to the Canada Border Services Agency's "Wanted by the CBSA" list.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) priority is maintaining the safety of the food supply. CFIA actions were and continue to be guided by science-based evidence and a commitment to protect public health. To this end, the CFIA has taken and is continuing to take comprehensive action to respond to the E. coli issue
