Canada's Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander issued the following statement:
"I would like to commend the Canada Border Services Agency for its investigation which has led to immigration charges against two Alberta residents.
As I have stated, I was profoundly disturbed by the allegations raised in the press this spring regarding sexual misconduct within the Canadian Armed Forces and I do not accept that this is part of our military culture.
