Saint-Hubert - November 12, 2003 - Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Astronaut Dr. Bob Thirsk and Dr. Mike Dixon from the University of Guelph, will meet with Edmonton area educators and students to talk about "Tomatosphere," a national hands-on learning program reaching more than 140 000 students, sponsored by The Canadian Space Agency, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Heinz Canada, the Centre for Research in Earth and Space Technology (CRESTech), and the University of Guelph. Drs. Thirsk and Dixon will explore the value of plant life to life support as we prepare for manned missions to Mars.
