February 5, 2004 OTTAWA – His Excellency John Ralston Saul will open the second day of the Engineers Without Borders (EWB) National Conference 2004 by delivering a keynote speech at the Chestnut Conference Centre, on February 6, 2004, in Toronto. Canada's largest conference on international development––entitled Toward the Millennium Development Goals––will be held from February 4 to 7, 2004.Engineers Without Borders is a charitable organization whose mission is to encourage human development through access to technology. Since its inception in 2000, approximately 70 Canadian volunteers have worked on 35 projects in 20 countries overseas. With over 6000 members, EWB has become Canada's fastest growing development organization. John Ralston Saul is Patron of EWB.Media representatives are invited to attend.
