(Gatineau, Quebec) ¿ On June 18, 2004 the final report will be released concerning the Transporation Safety Board (TSB) investigation into a main track train derailment that occurred in the municipality of Sherbrooke, in the District of Lennoxville, Quebec on March 27, 2003. The public report, RO3D0042, will be available at 1000 (June 18, 2004) on the TSB website at: http://www.tsb.gc.ca. Following its release, interviews will be available with the Investigator-in-Charge to provide more in-depth information on the investigation and its findings. These interviews are available upon request. On March 27, 2003, in the District of Lennoxville, a St. Lawrence & Atlantic Railroad train travelling from Richmond, Quebec to Island Pond, Vermont derailed. Eleven cars on the train, including one car carrying caustic soda, came off the track. There were no injuries and no spill of dangerous goods. However, a shopping centre beside the railway right-of-way was evacuated and closed for the morning, as a precaution.
