PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCES CHIEF GOVERNMENT WHIP

July 20, 2004 Immediate Release Prime Minister Paul Martin today announced that Karen Redman, Member of Parliament for Kitchener Centre, has been appointed Chief Government Whip. "It is an honour for me make this announcement and to confer these important responsibilities on such a capable and respected Parliamentarian," said Prime Minister Martin. Mrs. Redman will also be sworn in as a Privy Councillor to better enable her to carry out her duties.
