DFO ANNOUNCES NEW WEB PAGE ON THE HERRING FISHERY

October 29, 2004 MONCTON, NB -- The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), Gulf Region, today announced the creation of a new Web page for the herring fishery. This new Web page has been created with the intention of facilitating, for fishing industry representatives, stakeholders, and the overall public, quick access to information on herring. DFO wishes to continue promoting and offering better communications mechanisms for everyone interested in the commercial fishery. This newly designed Web page will make it easier for Internet surfers to navigate through a great deal of information on the herring fishery in the southern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
