Export Development Canada (EDC) senior vice-president and chief economist Stephen Poloz will release EDC's outlook for the global and Canadian economies for the next 12-18 months during a media briefing held at EDC headquarters in Ottawa at 11:00 AM. The briefing will also be accessible via teleconference by calling 1-800-796-7558 The theme of EDC's Global Export Forecast this fall is "Global Economy: not too hot, not too cold". The forecast is a comprehensive examination of global economic and trade conditions and trends, including regional and industry sector outlooks to help Canadian companies identify foreign market opportunities and risks. Mr. Poloz will share his views on an economy where growth is easing to a more sustainable pace, and the resulting implications for domestic and world economic growth, interest rates and exchange rates.
