Governor General to attend 'An evening with Rohinton Mistry'

November 22, 2004 OTTAWA - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor General of Canada, will attend "An Evening with Rohinton Mistry" on Monday, November 22, 2004. The event, which will consist of a reception, dinner and reading, will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Ottawa Congress Centre. The evening will be hosted by the Ottawa Public Library Foundation. Canadian author Rohinton Mistry has won many prestigious awards including the Governor General's Literary Award, the Giller Prize and the Los Angeles Times Book Award. His book Family Matters was nominated for the 2004 IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and was a finalist for the Booker Prize.
