Emerson, Minister of Industry, will announce a major investment in MITACS (the Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems) at Simon Fraser University. The MITACS network brings together 36 Canadian universities, 317 researchers, 465 students and 153 industrial, governmental, and not-for-profit partner organizations to conduct joint research and solve large-scale problems in the biomedical & health, environment & natural resources, information processing, risk & finance and communication, networks & security sectors.
