FEDERAL BUDGET: FUNDING FOR THE CANADIAN SPACE PROGRAM

February 24, 2005 LONGUEUIL -- Dr. Marc Garneau, President of the Canadian Space Agency, will be available for interviews with Quebec media by telephone to discuss funding for the development of the next generation of radar satellites that was announced in this week's federal budget. Afterwards, Dr. Garneau will take part in a press conference with the Honorable David L. Emerson, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Canadian Space Agency, in Vancouver. Industry Canada has issued a media advisory for this conference.
